National Agency Update: Venezuela

The International ISRC Agency announces today that it will assume the responsibilities formerly administered by the Venezuelan Agency, APROFON. These responsibilities include both the allocation of codes for registrants based in Venezuela and the continued monitoring of registrant codes previously allocated through APROFON.

Registrant codes previously allocated by APROFON do not need to be altered or reported to IFPI, and their continued use to assign ISRCs is encouraged. ISRCs already assigned should continue to be used unchanged. Registrants are recommended to ensure that recordings and the assigned ISRCs are registered in the relevant industry database, where applicable.
